Prom with a Purpose is an event that our chapter plans each year to do something special for our KNHS special needs program. We get together earlier that day to decorate and make our cafeteria look pretty! As a chapter, we felt it was important to include special needs kids in a way that made them feel safe and understood. We had sensory activities, music, food & drinks, and everyone dressed up. Last year we wanted it be more exciting by asking each of them with "promposals." Each of our "promposals", decorations, and all the work put into this event is student-led, which ties into FCCLA standards.
